Quick Blackjack lesson:

Never -- NEVER! -- hit on a 13, 14, 15, 16, no matter what the dealer is showing.

If you are wanting to hit because you feel the dealer has a "made hand", then there are so, so FEW cards that can help you that it is almost meaningless to hit at the risk of busting.

So if you think the dealer has a 10-card underneath his 10-card that is up, you would have to get a 6-card or a 5-card when you held a 15, just to win or tie.

You have to draw a 5 or a 6, in that example.

Only 2 ranks help you. No other cards/ranks help you.

So if there are 13 ranks -- ie, duece thru Ace -- your chances of NOT losing are only 2/13, IF the dealer has a 20.

So why risk busting out over trying to make a 2:13 chance play?

Best play: Stay, and hope that the dealer busts.
