I continue to believe it is wrong to blame Hector for the course that was set by Jerry. The decision to bet the farm on a risky process was not Hector's. The decision to insist on going head to head with Intel was not Hector's. Hector didn't sell off the PLD business to fund a vendetta. Hector didn't kill the uController business to use all the money to battle Intel. Hector didn't sell off the headquarters building in Sunnyvalle. Hector is trying his best to keep AMD off the rocks. Jerry sent the ship into troubled waters.
