I have been one of the most loyal supporters of this project since Day 1 through all the false starts, delays, more false promises and then endless excuses. I stood up for this project and its sister project, Japan Needs Heroes 2, against all the evidence for the longest time possible until the reality of it all came slamming home a year ago.
And that's damn impressive for a project that is THREE YEARS and SEVEN MONTHS since being successfully funded and meant to have been completely compiled, printed and shipped by the end of 2012.
This project single-handedly body checked my optimism for all other comic Kickstarter projects and I haven't backed another comic Kickstarter project since.
And the most shameful and reviling thing of all is that this project was meant for charity. Not for Benny Powell's private webcomic projects or his company, Red Giant Entertainment, that he floated on the stockmarket after the third "this time I swear!" project deadline for Japan Needs Heroes was missed.
Being involved in multiple national and international conventions through my various volunteer work and consultancy contracts that I do, if I EVER run across Benny Powell or Red Giant Entertainment at once of the conventions I am at, I will make it my mission to make that event a freaking pain in his neck.
