Now is the time. Superhero/Comic book intellectual property is hot right now. He needs to strike while the iron is hot.

DC/Warner has a lot of TV offerings coming out ("Lucifer" looks to be a fun show and I just saw the "Supergirl" TV show trailer).

I think NBC Universal is one of the only major studios that doesn't have superhero/comic book IP locked up.
