Still recovering from an phone call with the SEC.
Last night I sent a question to the SEC using their web site. My question concerned shareholder rights when a company ignores multiple requests of communication with management by a shareholder.
Phone calls not being returned and email being ignored.
To my amazement I got a phone call this morning from an SEC lawyer to answer my question. Either they have nothing else to do or they are really working on helping individual shareholders. By the way the answer was that you cannot force a company to talk to a shareholder. However, a shareholder has a right under state law to ask for an audit of their books. I am sure there are plenty of restrictions on how one can do that but I did not go into the details.
