As far as why they didn't put more hard data in the press release, this is just my conjecture and not something that the company said: I happened to be driving and listening to CNBS, I mean CNBC, and they were talking about some biotech that is down hugely after hours because of disappointing results in their abstract. (Tuned in too late to hear what company it is.) There are thousands of abstracts out today. Do you want your big news to come at the same time as a big data dump, or do you want to wait and have more of a chance to make a splash?
