Funny you mention. I have been in touch with Additive Industries this afternoon. I just wanted to check i had not missed any public information about their plans. I haven't. Their basic plan is still fairly behind closed doors but the premise is this.

They are building a new printer aimed at printing more than just prototypes, ie closer to mass manufacturing. It is NOT a butchering of any existing printer, it is a whole new machine, designed and built by, and for a large bunch of European manufacturing heavyweights. The partners on Additive Manufacturings website are decent players in Europe, this is a strong outfit. Marks enthusiasm in Sigmas involvement is well warranted. As it stands it appears (from Marks comment, Additive industries couldn't comment) that PrintRite3D would be installed in the new machines. This is a massive coup for Sigma. A well funded, well backed new OEM that incorporates PR3D in the latest printer aimed at mass manufacturing is extremely impressive, and one would hope lucrative.

Prototype/Beta is expected in Autumn, sales in Q1 2016. At Rapid in a few weeks Additive Industries are revealing the name of the new machine, and hopefully a few more details.

The fact their plans are fairly secretive should come as little surprise to us long term watchers of this new industry. Thats all the more reason to be aware that when things break they break very quickly. The hard work is done behind the scenes, but this industry is snowballing rapidly.

Best of luck
