I don't think I'll ever buy another tower. For my work Photoshop is good enough on a 1G Powerbook and for my noodling with DVD copying and audio conversion, I can wait until the price drops, refurbs are out and I can get a replacement Powerbook for under 1500.
I don't see G5 for laptops any time soon, so I'll settle for '1. whatever' G4 Moto chips.
I adore Apple's products but some of these people are truly blinded by the hype.
Some guy on RB was drooling over iChat and it is nothing novel, new or even worth a slight yawn.
I videochat online with a graphic artist at Best Buy's internal ad offiice in Canada and they will be upgrading to accompany Quark and I am certain many agencies will be increasing IT spending, but these numbers will only help Apple maintain, not expand.
Everyone better hold their breath tos ee if they ship ontime and then wait to see what maladies soon become apparent in this radical new design
