I agree to a point, but GE's Greg Morris, while presenting 3D info at a conference talked about the need for other companies to jump on board for the sake of furthering material characteristics (for lack of better words) and science, the know how on how to produce a better 3D part, standards etc., a supply chain is needed, GE doesn't want to manufacture every 3D part, they want to utilize vendors as they do today with subtractive manufactured parts.
