Actually, I think the kind of centrifuge you'd need would be a little higher level than this. Just the rotor that gets loaded with tubes and spun fast by the centrifuge costs >$100,000. And you're exactly right, any imbalance in any of the tubes would result in catastrophic spin out-- would destroy not only the machine and rotor but would go through multiple walls, too.

Not something a junkie would do, but put a couple Chemical Engineering grad students together and they could figure it out.

I still like my "Aerodynamic Differences Separation Machine" (TM)





This would result in a big vat of mixed agonist beads: oxy, morphine, hydrocodone, oxymorphone, extended and immediate release. Remember back in college the "Hairy Buffalo" parties where everybody poured their drink into one vat. They were called "Purple Haze" where I went to school (add Robitussin DM). Kind of like that. Junkies would love it!
