See, here's the thing. I do NOT have a short position or any position in this company. So, I'm just trying to get a real demo/review of the product. So before you people go shooting your virtual mouths off about me, you'd better reconsider. I'm a technology journalist with ZDNet and other major publications. I can download vSphere ESXi, XenServer, VirtualBox, Proxmox, 2X, and dozens of other software packages for review/testing/installation. I cannot however get Sphere3D to give me a real demo/sandbox/appliance or anything of theirs to test with.

Yes, I saw a brief demo of a virtual app being installed in Austin at Dellworld 2014. I was told by Peter Bookman that Glassware 2.0 was beta, because I asked him why it was 2.0 if it was beta. He said that's the name, not the version. OK. So, I got a short demo. I saw a web page with a counter on it that was counting something that I was told was emulating users connecting to a server typing 40WPM in Microsoft Word.

I asked the guy there if they were using LoadRunner to test that load. He didn't know what LoadRunner was. It's an industry standard application for testing loads of this type. He said they were using something in-house to do it.

That's really all I saw.

That's not enough to write up a fair and balanced review of anything. I, personally, did NOT get to touch the system. It was demo'd for me.

I want a hands-on demo where I can work with the product.

I haven't been given that yet. So, your comments about me and my stock holdings and my giving this product a bad review are bullshit. I would never give a product a bad review, especially when I haven't gotten to work with the product.

As far as I know, there have been no formal reviews of this product anywhere--at least not that I can find. And certainly none from any major publication.

Now, last year, I was told by Peter Bookman that I'd get a sandbox to test with. Then I saw him and the product briefly at Dell World, but to this day I've never gotten to look at it as I would any other such product.

So, you can say this crazy stuff, but it doesn't change the fact that for some reason they're not wanting me to demo the product. Wouldn't you think...and this is what I asked Peter when I saw him...that here's the Virtualization guy from ZDNet wanting to look at your product and give you a review and interview and you're not doing it. What's the problem?

Ponder that.

I'm not going to give it a bad review. If it sucks, I wouldn't review it at all. I don't give bad reviews.
Here's the explanation: http://frugalnetworker.com/2015/04/25/go-fish-a-technology-journalists-torpedo-term/

Now, take all that and digest it, spin it, and make whatever you want out of it. If Sphere3D doesn't want ME to review Glassware, then maybe they'd like to have someone else competent do it on ZDNet, CNET, Tom's IT Pro, TechCrunch or some other publication that has some clout.

If the technology is all that, then why not have a major publication have a go at it? That's all it would take to send the stock soaring and to have the technology picked up by every major company.

Just for clarity, I don't know how to short a damn stock, nor do I care to try. I only wanted to look at Glassware because virtualization is my beat and I'm pretty well known for it. I've written a book about it and would include Glassware in the second edition, if I could ever work with it. I'm NOT going to review something I haven't seen and used.
