I have a hypothetical explanation. Say you are Dr Vic you are independently wealthy through your dermo practice and you work with celebrities across the country. You also have a company you are trying to make work (SVFC) but you have no other way to fund its practice other than releasing more shares. However you have come to a point where your company is such a dump no one wants to buy large quantities of your stock to help pay for your rent. What do you do? At this point you are forced to either walk away from all the time and money invested in the company or start putting your own money into it by buying up more shares, ultimately funding the company. So you release more stocks and then buy it up yourself to pay for the bills. Instead of paying the bills directly you get more stocks and hopefully more return down the road.

My point is Dr. Vic might be the one buying these shares and he might be the biggest long out of all of us. Food for thought.
