When I start doubting my investment it's time to reevaluate. I revisited the advantages DMLS versus EBM.

DMLS pros:
1) higher resolution
2) thus, superior for intricate internal structuring
(e.g., leap engine fuel nozzle)
3) easier to remove remaining powder

EBM pros:
1) significantly faster
2) far fewer supports and anchors required
3) less post processing
4) less material needed/less strap
5) more applicable for the orthopedic implant parts

cons:
1) High chamber temperature
(resulting in lower resolution due to unwanted sintering)
2) printer is more temperamental to surrounding environment
(i.e., prone to external magnetic field disturbances)

Please feel free to correct or add. Btw, it takes for ever for shares to fill! I bought at 44, 38, 29, 24 and now at 16.
