I assume Tweed is getting the same benefit of "Full UV Sun rays" at its 350,000 square foot greenhouse facility, so I'm not sure there's any competitive disadvantage there... and economies of scale will, in time, compensate for what you perceive as extraneous overhead.

Many of us are comforted that this overhead is in place though, to create an enterprise that provides product of consistent quality, under highly controlled conditions, meeting the most stringent standards. This is what consumers ultimately want, I believe. Certainty as to where their product is coming from, and confidence that it is untainted by unscrupulous underground growers embracing who-knows-what techniques for dealing with pests and fluctuating environmental factors.
