Good to see NASA pushing in this area. Here's a good paper from their division responsible. Pages 24-27 discuss how there work relates to America Makes and NIST programs. The summary of the paper would suggest the industry need to push on exactly the kind of work Sigma is focusing on. Suggesting the industry needs such focus and the results will be game changing.

Lets not forget that NASA are a member of AMC, and AMC have chosen Sigma Labs to host this fall's 2015 AMC meeting.
