If SIAF builds it, they will come. But I've got to believe that even though it's a massive and growing market, they will need to adapt to competitive forces that are also growing. I just find this piece of the puzzle very opaque and difficult to evaluate as a westerner.

In the aquaculture space, SIAF has refined its RAS technology continually for the past ten years, with demonstrable advantages. The improvements continue with each new version. On my recent visit, I learned of two new proprietary feeds for prawn fries and for fingerlings that are augmenting success rates. SIAF is building the largest indoor prawn farm in China, and that contract dates from late 2013 (early advantage?). On-going research and development takes place in all of the company's segments, to create competitive advantages.

Besides that, I think it's likely that SIAF will do very well if it captures a sliver of a fraction of the (enormous) Chinese market for safe, high quality protein food.
