Where are the dead?

Genesis 3:19 specifies that "you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return."

Ecclesiastes 9:10 ??

Ecclesiastes 9:5 : "The living are conscious that they will die, but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all."

Psalms 146:4 specifies that when man dies "his thoughts perish."

Ezekiel 18:4 ?? "The soul - it itself will die."

Ecclesiastes 9:6 ??? Isaiah 26:14 ??

These all throw a wrench into the ideas of the soul living on and heaven and hell, don't they???
