The deal did not necessarily fall though. Perhaps if one has sold bought or sold real estate in ones life they would understand that if contracts get extended (in this case) or a piece of real estate is still not closed upon realtors can still show the property. My guess is because the extension is rather lengthy a realtor (for his own best interest) will remove the "in contract" phrase from a listing to allure potential buyers and then disclose if one were to show an interest in the property. It is common practice so that realtors do not shut out a property to potential buyers because it shows "in contract" but not closed yet. Realtors have he right to do so. so lets stop the fear mongering people
