We have to remember the trip was arranged by a long time LBSR BAGHOLDER. The guy must be as desperate as other bagholders and was trying to make something happen.

I laughed when I read "mining experts" would be shown what large mines from other companies looked like. "Mining experts" who need to see what large mines look like? What is wrong with that picture? Plus does anyone seriously think current operating mines want to help create competition for themselves? "Sure come on over, we'd love to help you open a big competing mine next store and further depress the the price of copper. We love that".

I would guess what happened is closer to this. At the meeting the question was asked "Who would like to come to Arizona and tour some of the legendary mines of the old West and then take a side trip to Vegas?" And of course hands went up. And from that, the bagholders were told the tale that "Four mining experts are expected to travel to Tucson".

Anyway we know this carrot has gone stale and moldy and the tell tale sign was the new Hay Mountain marketing material. A company does not spend time creating new marketing material when a deal is imminent. That would be as silly as creating a slick new real estate web page to sell your house when you have a closing on it the next week.
