What's the issue? One sentence is talking about net margin, the other is talking about gross margin.

Net margin incorporates lots of expenses that gross margin ignores.

Intel has lots of expenses that gross margin ignores.

Net margin (i.e. profit margin) is, IMHO, a better metric for capturing Intel's business performance.

Umh, you were arguing that Intel has higher fixed costs because its net margin is lower than that of TSMC and I wanted to know how you get to this conclusion. Just answer that, without trying to find suspicious excuses about "Intel's business performance". Can you do that?
