That's true Zeev, another most important point to consider in this is the fact that there is a very critical interrelationship between the ERP part of the system and the database it is using. Since Oracle is a major player in the database field, competing mainly against IBM's DB2 and Microsoft's SQL server, the combined entity might lose some customers that are not happy about (potentially being forced of) using an Oracle database. That might push quite a few customers over into the IBM database/SAP ERP system camp as they might be unwilling to go through the hassle of converting from IBM/SQL to Oracle.
I believe this is a poorly thought out move resulting from Ellison's sick ego to become the biggest.
