Enron Founder Kenneth Lay, Skilling Convicted The jury in the fraud and conspiracy trial of Enron founder Kenneth Lay and former Enron Chief Executive Jeffrey Skilling has reached a verdict. Skilling was convicted of conspiracy to commit securities and wire fraud. Lay was found guilty on all six counts of fraud and conspiracy, which have a combined maximum punishment of 165 years.
