It is not an accusation. It is fact that Yelp solicits payment for good reviews by way of asking establishments to place ads on their website. You refuse, you get bad reviews. There have been lawsuits against Yelp as seen here http://sfist.com/2014/09/04/yelp_is_allowed_to_manipulate_ratin.php. Some the court threw out....but too many complaints against Yelp is an indication that something fishy is going on there.
