What I mean is, Intel gets a very high percentage of revenue from it's latest process, at least after a year or so of manufacturing. So the capex and R&D have a fast return. What about TSMC? What percentage of their revenue comes from leading edge process where their capex & R&D expenses were highest?

good question..so would we be comparing 22nm vs 28 nm?? 14 nm vs 20 nm??

Apple makes up about 15% of total TSMC revenues..and that's all at 20nm....so I guess we could compare that to 14nm Intel if you have their number.
