I, too, have been surprised about Arcam not getting a better mention from GE here in the US. I can only imagine that it is a complex relationship that has been and continues to evolve. I believe that some of lack of information is due to potential IP issues and flight certification testing that has to be resolved before a huge commitment is made.
I'd seen a GE presentation a while back (not new) that I don't think I've ever seen posted. An interesting side note is the website where the document is located.
It's just over a half hour long but really worth watching. I keep going back to the question asked starting at 29:20 and the response given. I believe that they've tried using the Q10 more than a couple of times. A year and a half later they have probably refined the manufacturing process with whatever technology they are using. Again this video is not new.
There are a number of people on this board that are are very good with production numbers, rates, and components committed for production contracts. Can some of you make a "best guess" prediction on how many laser machines (DMLS?) GE would need to to make all the fuel nozzles necessary for the LEAP engines under contract?
Something else I've been meaning to post is an email exchange I've had with Anna Grahn, Mr. René's executive assistant.
April 1, 2015 Hello,
It's been a while since the "President of Arcam Cad to Metal Inc. (USA)" career posting was removed.
Has the position been filled?
Thank you,
Charlie
April 2, 2015 Hello Charlie,
Yes, the post is filled.
Hälsningar / Best regards,
Anna Grahn B.A. Executive Assistant to CEO Magnus René

That's great.
What is the person's name? Please forward a brief biography and where they will be setting up offices in the US.
