I think that article was a story that the reporter had assigned to him and he was not going to spend any extra time getting things correct. He mentions anatabine is found in tobacco and eggplant and one more plant but neglects to mention that the product was synthesized. He says something about being used for MS, when a little research could have shown that disease is way down the least of conditions that should be mentioned in the same breath as anatabine. Hashimoto's is a better one, as are the conditions shown on the pipeline on the RCPI website. Bottom line, he didn't really put much effort into the story except for the juicy scandal part.
