Shorting Stocks and Naked Shorting is a Common practice!!
MMs can short any stock at Will,,,
A form presented to a broker that a certain retailer owns shares in a certain company is just a form. Shares can be filled at any other time at a lower price that is convinient to the MMs liking!!!
