Can you imagine having mandaory debentures being shoved down your throat?

For exactly that reason, I agree with you - it ain't gonna happen. You can't force someone to loan you money. Need to at least take a vote, and there's not enough time left for that.

Good stocks are obvious. Extensive DD is how you convince yourself to buy a bad one.
