I do not think so. California needs winter mountain snows and consecutive rains all year long. The Colorado river needs to fill and flow. California as a whole needs rain. Desalinization will not even prevent the drought. I say we redirect some of the Mississippi river run off. Far fetched? Not in my opinion. Taking complete control of various waterways would create real jobs and strengthen America. Not to mention the prevention and massive cost savings from water type natural disasters.
