CaCl4 is a misprint on my part, should be CCl4, which is carbon tetrachloride

There was also an acid leaching process with H2SO4, but that method resulted in high reagent loss due to the ~10% calcite.

Rereading some of this now. Trying to understand the history of the work and processes developed to know where the work of Hatch might be focused.
