Really, they were winning because of Amare when he was healthy (He was almost MVP Caliber that first year and yes he was that good) (He was never healthy after melo got here that is the facts). It was also a way better offensive system then is currently being run, because D'antoni might not know a ton about defense but he knows how to run offense, and make pg look better they then really are by 100 times. Notice felton has not been the same kind of player in every other system except d'antoni, noticed lin looked so much better then he has, he makes PG look better then they are, he make guys like Nash who are all star PG win MVP awards.
Geez this had nothing to do with melo and you know this had to do with what you want back eating up more cap room then melo himself. Raymond felton, Gallinari who was is hurt and may never be the same player making 12 million a year, he plays a game then he needs a game to sit, we've been through that with amare. Chandler and mozgov are okay role players, but I don't want almost 30 million tied up in these 4 guy over melo 23. I said carmelo doesn't play defense, I said he doesn't create for others, I said he is not a top 5 player, I even said I would trade him for the lakers pick for crying out loud, all in yesterday's posting that you got so upset, so love fest for melo stop, their was no love fest in that post. That I don't want 30 million tied up in players that were only good because Amare was at an mvp level, passing only works if at the end of the day your worried about two primary guys with the cap, you no longer have a team built like the 60's or 70's where you can have 4-5 all stars so the game can't be the same, and has to be more focused on your two to three top players putting the ball in the hoop, because contrary to public opinion ball movement is great but I don't want Tyson chandler taking 15 ft open jumpers (Yes he will be open), back then your best team had more then 1 good player (They had 3-4-5 guys hence they didn't have to be dependent on one player. I know you want ball to be like the 60's and 70's contrary to opinion I actually like a team game, but I realize with the cap you don't have that option, people get excited when a team has 3 great players, best teams back then had 3 great players because they could afford three great players (Plus there are almost double the number of team now so less good players to go around), now it is very hard to have anything else around a team if you have two or three great players. And you won't win anything if you have 5-6 above average player, sure that could look like a team, but I doubt you could win a championship doing that.
All we were doing was debating a knicks issue, and you get upset, because someone doesn't agree with you. it is called a healthy debate/conversation of and issue. Anyways that's that.
