I mean you longing that much for the return of raymond felton eating up 8 million of cap space, I'm certainly not I was throwing a party when they got rid of him, then again I didn't realize how bad calderon is. Wilson chandler is a decent 13-6 guy who plays decent defense at 7 million a year. solid player but he is nothing more then a role player. Gallinari, is injury prone and may never be the same player. And Mozgov is nothing special in my opinion.
I realize you will never acknowledge why carmelo success (Team) has went down is the same reason why I'm so hell bent on russell being here. They don't have a creating PG. or a creating Player. Why did carmelo go to the playoff all those year. Because he had a guard to create for others whether it was Andre Miller, or Allen Iverson, or Chauncey Billups, or even Jason Kidd that 1 year he was here. it is about having great leadership at the point, it get exacerbated when almost every team in the league has a decent pg and you don't. The last two year we have seen felton (who apparently you can't wait to have back) and calderon (Who can be calling go into the fire from the frying pan). Until you get a creating guard it ain't gonna make a difference because Anthony isn't gonna create for others. You seem to see that as and indictment, I seem to see that call me when you see SF or SG get 5 Assist per game not named harden and james. I mean Wade and Kobe do it when they play but they are always hurt and you wouldn't want them nor do I. So that is why I'm so head over heels for russell. I also don't expect anthony to create.
The death of the knicks was not anthony, but rather the lousy stuff they put around him. Now do I think Anthony is not a great defender I agree with you he is not a very good defender. Do I think he is a top 5 player. Absolutely not there is more then scoring and rebounding. Do I think he makes his teammates better? absolutely not. Then again outside of Harden and James unless they are a PG name a player that fits that criteria, so holding that against Anthony to me seem absurd. There is and answer to this go get a PG heck there is about 20 of them for crying out loud that could do the job. But giving up Mozgov, chandler, gallinari, and Felton for anthony was no loss, lets not make like the nuggets haven't finished up the track since anthony left. And lets not make it like those players would of won anything, I get it your a melo hater, and I'm the opposite, but the days you start longing for raymond felton and company over melo is just absurd in my opinion. You want to get rid of him for the 4th pick in the draft and get more cap room that is one thing (I can even go along with that). You want almost 30 Million in cap eaten by those 4 players you are absolutely bonkers, instead of anthony 23 million. I know you hate melo, and I don't agree (As I think the lack of PG (Creating Guard is the problem), but respect your opinion, when I completely don't get is this sudden love affair of the guys that left. These guys ain't any good, I hope your just joking, because not in a million year do I want 30 Million invested in these 4 guys of the cap. Yikes.
