OMG, that would be absolute heaven for me, to see Knicks trade Carmelo to Lakers for their #1 draft pick, a top 6 pick let's say.....Imagine being rid of an aging Carmelo and that $25M salary and draft two of the top 4 or 5 players in the draft? (Towns and Russell or Muiday?) (Or Okafor and Muiday or Russell?)

That article does make sense, Kobe in his last yr, Carmelo with a home in LA would wave his no trade clause, they have Randle and more cap space to sign another key free agent, Rondo or whoever....

Meanwhile great for Knicks to be totally stripped down and start with 2 young studs, a TON of salary cap space, more than anyone, wow, that would be exciting, only thing left to do is jettison Calderon and use Hardaway if need be to do it......Keep that Russian player Sved, I like him, intriguing player and cheap enough......
