Losing money is never fun but it can be funny. All i know is that folks who havent suffered in this market since 2001 have just gotten burned big time. Some are telling me that they had substantial gains that have turned to losses in two weeks and they are in mutual funds. I am thinking those folks were probably riding the commodity boomlet. Same folks are now realizing days of wine and roses are over for their yearly rise in home equity too and gas is $3. The sky is falling.
This all makes me feel good as we wait for the leadership change, whether into bio, semis, telecom or all three. As long as the fed doesnt overshoot, we will be OK. I cant believe they will do that.
