Good to see Pres Obama recognizes the importance of market signals in pharma development. In the past, those signals were a bit perverse in the case of antibiotics, since the new stuff had to be held back to prevent overuse, which impacted incentives to innovate. This is one of the reasons the pipeline got so thin.

If Brilacidin is truly resistant to resistance, it will not face such an impediment. There may be other impediments (novel MOA might scare some docs or hospitals off?)
