"I believe its time to reapply the remote sensing survey tools and find the wreck."
I believe (Moving entirely to opinion here, and I admit it) that they Did exactly that. they had the sensing survey tools at work, they went back and forth and back and forth, they found a trail and kept marking it on the survey, and then they finally found the wreck. Exactly like you said they should do.
So why has it not be reported yet? Because it has not been verified yet. They found what is a large concentration of hits, and believe it is the wreck. But that means nothing. So, they have concentrated the boats during the few days they have been able to dig since finding that spot, and they are working that area to prove it is "the" site.
I base that opinion on the fact that the boats were going back and forth for numerous months, almost aimlessly, and then they all stopped that and all three boats were in the same spot (right before diving ended for the winter). It's nothing I have had verified by the company, but an educated guess based on the activity of the boats.
And of course there is no PR yet. To announce "We've found a lot of hits on the side scanner" or something like that would be useless. If they get the chance to dig and truly FIND something, I'm sure they will PR it within 48 hours, as required. But for now, I "think" (Still) they have done exactly what you want them to do. Scanned and surveyed some more, found a lot of hits that they think is the wreck, they are focusing ON that site when they get the rare chance to dive (And soon to be consistent chance to dive) and they have found something. is it the Concepcion? Boy, that one I am NOT able to have an opinion on. I HOPE so, but don't know. But the concentration of the boats on the few days they have dived tells me they have found something worth concentrating on, and I believe that to be in their mind a wreck.
Make sense?
