The spec on the HP system sure makes use of the wonderful 64 bit memory addressing of the Hamster

There is value for the customer in having the same instruction set across a wide range of machines. If you check out the history of the IBM 360/370 ISA you will see that there can be value in it for the producer too.

I bet there are some diapers going on the AMD fan boys when they see that.
