My 1 post for the day...

Word of the day... RELAX.

20+ years ago in college, I tore my ACL playing football. Hurt quite a bit when it actually happened. My knee was swollen like a cantaloupe and I was limping for a few weeks.

I met with the team doctor... He said to limit my movement, put me in a brace and said when ready, get the muscles around the knee as strong as I possibly could make them. He said this step will help the recovery time after surgery.

Surgery day comes, my leg is strong and the knee is feeling good... Can't do any agility movement, but walking and other basics feel very well. Surgery, as expected hurt worse than the actual injury. And then, as expected, the recovery/physical therapy was more painful than the time immediately following surgery. The therapy lasted much longer than I anticipated... Several months.

I wanted it better and perfect right away... That was not going to happen as it was simply not an option. The doctors and therapy crew had a plan for me... I went through every step given and was forced to be more patient than I ever thought possible.

First therapy sessions were very slow and very painful... I noticed absolutely no improvements in my knee except increased pain. The more they stretched my leg, the more pain I endured. They were working parts of my knee that weren't visible to my eye and weren't tangible, positive movements... At least from my perspective.

But, they were right... They had done this before.

Their view of success was in a completely different time zone of what I thought success was... And their version of the plan was correct. I had to place trust in their experience to correct this injury. They had done this before.

Last year, ECIG had two torn ACLs, a fractured pelvis, two blown rotator cuffs and a severe head injury. Things started to get better and things were looking stronger... then the surgery/RS came last week. A necessary, although painful step. Possibly more painful than the actual injury as things were starting look much better.

Company is just starting the process of therapy... Translation, more potential pain. Their plan makes sense even though we cannot see every thing we want to see, when we want to see it. A lot of the improvements are small and incremental for us, but they are the right steps. If I had rushed the process with my knee, the possibility of re-injury went up exponentially. I can go on, but you get the comparison.

Be patient... The lack of information from management is not what we all want, but I see it as an extreme positive. Nothing happens as soon as we want it.

But I know I'd rather have this team managing the company vs a bunch of ihubbers... Question is, do you?

Major obstacles have been/are being removed... Bankruptcy and toxicity. Dilution will most likely occur due to the toxicity leaving... While it temporarily hurts, that is also pain leaving each and every time (pain is weakness leaving the body). It may get more painful before it starts to feel better, but it will feel better.

What would you rather have... 60%-75% of something huge or 100% of nothing?

I know where my math leads me. An overnight turnaround was never part of this equation. Management has accomplished everything they said they were going to accomplish... Be patient, it is coming.
