Bjdev, long time listener, first time poster. I am surprised that this is the first time you have considered this line of thinking. I feel that this is what Apostle has been hinting/screaming for the last few weeks. Not saying I agree with it, but the structure is there if you start from the end and work backward.

ECIG wants healthy long term financing. In order to get this, they must pay off old toxic debt. In order to do that, they must get less appealing short term financing. In order to do that, they must use a R/S as temporary collateral. In order to get that, they must convince shareholders that R/S is good and beneficial. All standard financial hoops they must jump through.

Just like a good mystery novel. When you know how it ends, everything makes sense the 2nd time around. I'm not suggesting that this is what's going to happen, but maybe...
