I was wondering if someone would be so kind as to help me out. I have been traveling out of the country since about two hours prior to the release and the conference call. I just got hooked up in Manila and WOW. As most all of you on this board I am sorely dissapointed, but unfortunately not too surprised. A couple of questions. 1. Did Andy do most of the review/speculating or did they put the CFO into the front seat like he should be? 2. Any information on why the miss was so large versus Andy's lack of proper guidance? And yes, it really was an 8 cent miss. 3. Any update on an end to the lawsuit settlement or is there more accrual ahead for that? 4. Any more SOLID information on the new customers or was it more of the same Andy ambiguous wait and see? 5.Any indications of what/when they will get these operating costs under control, what is the COO doing specifically? 6. Any indication what accountability there is with BLDP on ability to ship stacks and their obvious poor quality, which is effectng service costs and worse, reputation.
I apologize that I have not been able to listen to the conf call but maybe someone can help answer.
A couple of idle observations if you will. I agree with most on this board that Plug is a very good company and a damn good investment. I also feel that the price of this stock is not reflective of the fundamentals as it should be, but more on the side issues which are Andy's inability to be someone that can be trusted. Whether we like it or not the market is focused, and has been for a while, on his inaccuracies and pie in the sky rhetoric and that is what is truly driving the pricing.
My only real regret is that I could not in good conscience day trade this stock. I find short traders to be disgusting, however, they have made a TON of money because of the reliability of Andy Marsh missteps, plain and simple. The trouble is, they made there money off of the rest of us. Andy definately is a friend of the day traders and "shorties" in particular.
I am from Houston and I can equate this to the Houston Texans football team. Pretty damn good defense, respectable offense, but when you have no quarterback (CEO) you are just another loser. Bring in a confident and respected CEO, and do it now, this stock climbs to where the fundamentals place it.
