This test with Kinder Morgan that is happening right now is a big deal because the company clearly stated that they have replaced the power pack and fixed that glitch.
But to answer your question directly, the answer is no, they do not need to scale up the technology. The AOT 4 pack skid was designed to handle a 500,000 barrel per day pipeline; the Keystone. STWA has also worked with their suppliers and I think done well with their manufacturing costs. And of course there will be substantial discounting when manufacturing at scale. Larger orders for units will be much cheaper to make on a per unit cost basis.
If the AOT works as well as ALL these people says it does, then I think there will BE ORDERS PO'S, & COMMITMENTS.
All of these professionals and organizations say that the AOT WORKS. ATS RheoSystems (an independent third party laboratory who'e business it is to measure Rheology), Tom Bundros a Pipeline Industry veteran, A US House Representative-Ryan Zinke, a Kinder Morgan employee-Don Dickson, , A major university-Temple University in Philadelphia, and a celebrated physics scientist-Dr. Tao who is the Head of Physics at Temple University in Philadelphia ALL say the AOT works.
I trust a vetted presentation made at the American Physical Society by the Head of Physics at Temple University any day over anything I read on some internet message board. Whether or not that 75% stands we shall see, what we do know right now is that the most recent data from the Keystone test is a 75% reduction in pump power from Tao's presentation at the American Physical Society and this is a reputable source. Until we hear differently from the company, this is the the most data wed have to date from the TransCanada Keystone test. The company will always be more conservative. Tao doesn't have to be he can tell it like it is. He's a scientist and doesn't have shareholders to protect. These numbers in the articles out of the American physical Society seem to match up with Tao's 7 page white paper, and the RMOTC tests and the China test. So these test results are not so far fetched based on previous data.
