All they needed to say would be

... The KDS has already been proven to efficiently achieve 99.9 % pathogen kill without the addition of chemicals or supplemental heat. The KDS output could be used for fertilizer, or the generation of bio-fuel electricity, or in the generation of ETHANOL.

We'd probably be bouncing off 0.10 instead of off 7 cents.
