Those people just didn't do it right! There is always a way to order a cheaper Dell...
In general, I'm pretty tired of the price comparison wars but it is sort of fun to see other folks trying to work through Dell's online website and the stuff they come up with. Of course, if they would do their ordering on the first day of the last quarter phase of the moon (and select the correct starting notebook platform) they'd be able to see (and possibly use!) a coupon that could reduce the overall cost by like 800 dollars - maybe more.
. Hmm, I just tried ordering the most expensive laptop I could find off Dell's site (I was at about $4400 for an XPS-a-roni or whatever its called) and got this:
Server Error in '/dellstore' Application.
Runtime Error
I didn't see a coupon anywhere but the last quarter moon phase doesn't start until the 20th.
