A pretty shiny blue dress purported to be made from a new product that the person involved has yet to produce 3 years later is not a fact, it is a LIE.

They are still making the fibers, tweaking their properties, and working with it to ensure it works for the applications that they want it to. Here is a recent video i posted earlier that shows the fiber and them testing it: http://www.nikkei.com/video/860376306002/?playlist=843087678002

I dont know what you mean that its a lie, the dress exists.

Why don't you cut a sample from the hem of that dress and MEASURE it.
See what it was actually made of?

They used the same processes to create the dress as the ones they cited in their patent application. They have the numbers listed there. I am sure that they do not want to ruin the dress by cutting it up when they can just make more fibers.

Or has the dress mysteriously disappeared now that young Kazuhide Sekiyama has admitted to not actually being able to produce spider silk fiber yet 4++ years later!

The dress is currently on display at the Advanced Technology Exhibition Hall at TEPIA in Aoyama near Tokyo. Here is a guidebook in english: http://www.tepia.jp/exhibition/pdf/guidebook2014_e.pdf
Page 3 shows the dress.

I was unaware that Kazuhide Sekiyama stated that he is unable to produce spider silk. Where did you read/hear that?
