I agree that there will be a lot of consolidation because only the top LPs are either funded enough to execute their business plans OR able to attract customers in a market that gets a little more crowded every month and with little tools to advertise and build market awareness.

Look at Aphria - just 20,000 sq. ft. of growing space and already advertising that they have no waiting list and pushing volume discounts for March. Looks like they are not getting traction and looking at their weak branding and positioning, I'm not surprised. It's neither recreational nor pharma - just meh.

I don't see why TWD would buy another LP. They own the largest warehouse and greenhouse platforms in the market and have earmarked funds to expand those operations.

Edible and concentrate expertise can easily be obtained from Colorado. There are dozens of companies ready and willing to provide consulting services, equipment and expertise at a fraction of the cost of an acquisition.

Looks like a leading Colorado consulting company has already worked with Tweed:
