Now that you mention it, Captain Kirk, thanks for those suggestions. Walmart, Google, Amazon all sound like good and possible candidates to me.

You did, however, leave out Apple. Keep in mind that they have an iPhone APP that allows one to do a very thorough eye exam through the cell phone camera.
