I haven't seen that presentation before. Your points are well taken concerning stress points in the design - as well as having the ability to address controlled (i.e. desired) microstructure differences in the same build while manufacturing. It shows the necessary higher build temperature for the gamma TiAl and indicates that Avio has modified the insulation in the machine "to insure the correct operating temperatures of the subsystems."
