I visited the West Coast some weeks ago, more specifically Naples and Fort Myers and I have no plan of returning there ever.

The traffic is just as bad as in Miami, just that it's 80% snowbirds on the roads. The food was not too bad though, but I guess choosing a gourmet restaurant in Fort Myers gives anybody a break from annoying snowbirds...

I have never been to Sarasota, I believe it is little fancier than Fort Myers and more similar to Naples in wealth of people going there.
I have heard that there are many more women than men living there, so I guess it's a good place for single men visiting outside the tourist season.
