From an exchange rate point of view, you would argue that looking at what competitors have done makes little sense....as the US dollar has gone from being a very cheap currency 12 months ago, to become an extremely pricey one lately.
From a regulatory, financing and manufacturing standard point of view, the discussion may be different...it might be that there is no other option than producing protein powders in America, to satisfy the FDA....this is definitely not the case when it comes to tablets and capsules that can be made in China and Europe at similar standards as here....as 80% of blockbuster medicines are made abroad.
My feeling is that Brad is buying more manufacturing in America than what he needs, and that getting dragged into contract manufacturing of tablets and capsules in America is less attractive.
