In the drilling of a non commercial water well in Mi, my well drillers slowed down very quickly once they hit bedrock . Having issues with bits and such. They had everything on site to continue, and were set back by a day or two of work. I believe the issues were in the 900 foot range. The well itself only went to just over 1100 feet. IMO, when drilling a well to 3500 feet, problems will almost certainly arise and cause short time delays. Ny guess is they already have the whole in the ground, or are very close to having it finished. We shall see.

I recall when going through bed rock, each foot seemed to take forever and a bit change was a day process.
